The check happens where the data is.
Capsulla is two pieces: an extension in everyone's Chrome and a console you log into. The extension does the work in the browser, on the machine; the console holds the rules and the record of what happened. Nothing in between.
Your text is never sent anywhere to be checked
Most tools in this category classify content in their own cloud: the paste or the file travels to a vendor's service, gets a verdict, and comes back. Capsulla carries the rules to the browser instead. The patterns, the card checksum, the file types and the domains all run on the machine, against text that stays on it.
- A rule that matches produces an event — which rule, what was done, which site, whose browser — and that is what crosses the network.
- It also means there is no vendor outage that stops the checking, and no inspection queue that slows a paste down.
Before it lands, not after it is gone
A paste is checked before the characters reach the page. A file is checked before the upload starts, and an incoming file is cancelled mid-flight. Typing is checked in the field as it is written, because somebody who cannot paste will type it out.
Any site, including the one that launched last week
There is no list of supported apps and no connector to wait for. The extension sits in the browser, so a brand-new AI assistant is covered the day somebody opens it — and so is the internal tool nobody told you about.
Rules out, events back
Browsers pick up a rule change within minutes. They check in on their own, so the console always shows what is actually out there — and an event arrives when a rule fires, carrying the shape of what happened and nothing else.
What the log holdsWorth knowing
- Capsulla covers web interfaces in Chrome on managed browsers. Desktop apps, mobile apps and IDE plugins are outside it.
- The extension is pushed from Google Admin, so the person using the browser cannot remove or disable it. That is Chrome's own behaviour for force-installed extensions.
The rest of it
