Terms of service
These terms apply when you create an organization in the Capsulla console or deploy the extension to browsers your company manages. They are written to be read once and understood.
In effect from 13 October 2026
- 01
What Capsulla is
A Chrome extension that your administrator deploys through Google Admin, and a console where you write the rules it enforces and read the record of what they caught. We provide the service as it is described on this site.
- 02
Who can agree to this
You need authority to act for your organization and to deploy software to the browsers it manages. By creating an organization you confirm you have it.
- 03
What you are responsible for
Deciding what your rules do, keeping your organization key private, and the lawfulness of running this in your company.
- Tell your staff that Capsulla is running. In several countries monitoring at work also requires consulting a works council or equivalent body before it starts.
- Keep your admin list current. Everyone you invite can change the whole policy.
- If your key is exposed, regenerate it in the console; that disconnects every browser until the new key is deployed.
- 04
Acceptable use
Use Capsulla to protect your organization's data. Do not use it to target an individual unlawfully, to monitor people outside your organization, or to collect data you have no right to collect. Do not resell it, reverse engineer it, or try to break the isolation between organizations.
- 05
Trial, price and payment
The trial runs for the period stated on the pricing page and needs no card. After that the service is billed at the published price per organization, whatever the number of people. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. When a trial ends without a subscription, or a cancelled subscription runs out, the extension stops checking and recording until a subscription is active again; your rules and settings are kept. If the price changes, existing customers are told before it applies to them.
- 06
Availability
We run the service carefully but do not promise that it will never be unavailable. Maintenance happens, and so do outages. Capsulla is also deliberately built so that the checking continues in the browser even when the console cannot be reached.
- 07
Your data
Your rules, your events and your organization's settings are yours. You can export them from the console at any time. How we handle them is set out in the privacy policy.
- 08
Our material
The extension, the console, the site and everything in them stay ours. Nothing here transfers ownership of them to you.
- 09
Stopping
You can delete your organization in the console at any time, which removes its data. We can suspend or end access if these terms are broken, if payment fails, or if the service is being used in a way that puts other customers at risk — and we will tell you why. Export what you need before you go; after deletion we cannot get it back.
- 10
Liability
Capsulla reduces a risk; it does not remove it. It covers Chrome on managed browsers and cannot see what happens outside the browser, so it is not a guarantee that nothing will ever leave your company. To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before it arose, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
- 11
Changes to these terms
If these terms change in a way that matters, we write to the admins on the account before the change applies. The date at the top is the date the current version takes effect.
- 12
If something goes wrong between us
Write to us first. Most things are a misunderstanding and get solved in one email, and we would rather fix a problem than argue about it.
Questions about any of this go to hello@capsulla.io.
